Approach
Logo redesign completed for Cinema Makeup School, a premier special effects and beauty trade institution in Los Angeles. The project included developing comprehensive brand guidelines to ensure consistent application across digital and print media. These guidelines outlined logo usage, brand typography, asset placement, and foundational rules to maintain a cohesive visual identity across all branded materials.
Design Variations:
Three distinct logo concepts were developed and presented to Cinema Makeup School, with the final selection—Design 1—chosen for its strong connection to the school’s original visual identity, which symbolized the duality of beauty and special effects makeup, inspired by the “beauty and the beast” concept. Once approved, comprehensive brand guidelines were created to ensure consistent and professional application of the new logo across all digital and print platforms, reinforcing the school’s updated brand while honoring its creative legacy.
